Balcones Boer Goats began operations in 1994. Being one of
the early pioneers of the Boer Goat industry has had many
blessings. They include breeding many a fine animal,
acquiring knowledge and experience, and most important; all
the friendships.
A
year and a half later I was able to acquire some South
African doelings. They came from the Schoeman Excelsior Herd
and became the bedrock of my breeding operation. Strong yet
feminine does are the cornerstone. This small yet evolving
herd of 15 has produced hundreds of highly bred high quality
boer goats. Many were show quality but never made it to the
ring, those that did include:
? Texas-T: A
multiple Champion son of Pipeline*( Natl. Gr. Champion) and
out of a Schoeman Doe. Texas-T has 95 points toward
ennoblement
? Balcones
Big Egg: An Eggstreme* son and out of
Texas-T’s dam, this buck placed 2nd
at the Select Sire Sweepstakes in 1999 and sold to Ronnie
Peacock.
? Scatman: Res.
Gr. Champion in San Antonio. A son of Hudson and out of
Balcones Watusi (CODI/PCI doe). Her first winner!
? Balcones
Burrito: Reserve Grand Champion And multiple class
winner by a Rambo son and out of Balcones Watusi, her 2nd
winner.
? R
236: An incredible doe by Balcones Burrito and out of a Schoema doe, this younster stood 6th
at the ABGA Natl. Show in a class of over 150! Sold to Dr.
Radd.
